Kalshi · fee math
Kalshi fee calculator
See exactly what Kalshi charges on an order, taker vs maker, and how much extra you pay by splitting one order into many small ones.
Kalshi's general formula: fee = rate × contracts × price × (1 − price), rounded up to the next cent per order. Taker rate 7%, maker rate 1.75%. Some markets use their own schedule; Kalshi's fee page is the source of truth.

What the numbers mean
The fee is biggest around 50¢ and shrinks toward 1¢ and 99¢. But near the edges, the fee eats a much bigger share of what you can win: at 95¢ a contract can only make 5¢.
Because every order rounds up to the next cent, ten 1-contract orders usually cost more in fees than one 10-contract order. Want the win rate you need after fees? Use the Kalshi break-even calculator or the Kalshi profit calculator.
