Robinhood setup: Mac — Intel

Support Center · Updated November 1, 2026

Set up Robinhood on Mac — Intel.

Applies to the early-release DeskBot Stocks for Robinhood 0.9.0 Mac package. Python is included; no separate Python installation is needed for this package.

1. Download and extract

Use the Mac ZIP from your order delivery link. Extract the entire ZIP before opening the app. Keep the original Python-source download separate; its setup steps differ.

2. Open the app

Open DeskBot Stocks RH.app in the extracted folder. Keep the launcher window open while the app runs. The package is unsigned and not Apple-notarized. If macOS blocks it, contact support with the exact message.

3. Set up dashboard access

Open http://127.0.0.1:8877/ on this Mac. The first launch prints a setup code in the launcher window. Enter it in the dashboard and choose a dashboard password of at least 10 characters. Your dashboard password is separate from your Robinhood password.

4. Connect your account

Go to Settings → Connection → Sign in with Robinhood. Approve access only on Robinhood’s own page. Return to the dashboard, choose Load accounts, and select an eligible account. Robinhood determines account accessibility and options eligibility.

5. Activate your subscription

In Settings → Subscription, enter your purchase order number and checkout email, tick the confirmation box, and press Activate. Use the actual receipt details. Activation does not replace Robinhood account authorization.

Continue to dashboard and settings →
