DeskBot for TopstepX Is Live: A Desktop Dashboard for Your TopstepX Evaluation Account

DeskBot for TopstepX is live. It is a desktop dashboard for your own eligible TopstepX simulated account (Trading Combine, Express Funded, or Practice) on Windows x64, Mac Intel, or Mac Apple chip. You connect your own ProjectX API access, configure the supported strategies, and decide when the engine runs. It starts stopped on every launch and only runs after you press Start.

See DeskBot for TopstepX: $1 first month, then $19.99/mo, or $155/year

What the dashboard does

  • One-minute candlesticks with volume, fast and slow EMA, session VWAP, and RSI, built on closed one-minute bars.
  • Two configurable strategies: an opening-range breakout and an EMA trend pullback, on a supported futures watchlist.
  • Controls for trading sessions, direction, order size, risk budgets, tick-based brackets, cooldowns, daily entry limits, and supported time exits.
  • Account selection, order activity, reconciliation alerts, and broker-linked fills. Bot results are kept separate from account balance, and anything unproven stays marked unknown.
  • A local dashboard password and local storage for your API credentials.

Live bid/ask depth, news feeds, and an exchange-holiday calendar are not included.

Requirements and Topstep rules

  • An eligible TopstepX Trading Combine, Express Funded, or Practice simulated account. Live Funded accounts are not supported.
  • Separate ProjectX API access. API charges are billed separately by the provider.
  • Order flow must run on your own personal computer, in line with Topstep rules. Do not use a VPN, VPS, or remote hosted setup.
  • Confirm Auto OCO Brackets in TopstepX before starting.

How to get started

  1. Pick your computer (Windows x64, Mac Intel, or Mac Apple chip) and billing option on the product page.
  2. Download the ZIP for your computer, extract it, and follow its READ ME FIRST guide. No separate Python install is needed.
  3. Activate in the dashboard with your order number and checkout email, then connect your TopstepX user name and API key and choose your exact account.
  4. Try the built-in offline demo first if you like. It uses clearly labeled synthetic candles and does not show real trades or performance.

Pricing

$1 for the first month, then $19.99/month; regular monthly access at $19.99/month; or $155/year. The introductory month is paid access, not a free trial. Subscriptions renew until canceled, and you can cancel future renewals through your subscription portal.

Early-release notes

This is version 0.1.0 beta. Packages are unsigned and not notarized. The Intel-Mac package was launched and tested offline; the Windows and Apple-silicon packages have been built and checked but not yet launched on native hardware. Windows on ARM is unsupported. Closing DeskBot stops its local management loop, so manage any open position in TopstepX while the app is stopped. If position ownership or protective orders can't be verified, the dashboard alerts you and blocks new entries.
