1inch is an aggregator rather than a venue of its own: it splits a single order across many decentralised exchanges to beat what any one pool would give you. There is no account and no custody, yours or ours - your wallet signs everything. Front ends may restrict access by region and your own compliance is your responsibility.

Nothing is scoped or constructed after you order. The build already exists; you set it up and choose your settings.

What the auto trading does on 1inch

There are two ways to trade here and the engine uses both on purpose. A classic swap returns call data your wallet signs and broadcasts, and you pay the gas. A Fusion order is an intent you sign instead, which third-party resolvers compete to fill: that removes your gas cost and most of your front-running exposure, but the fill is not immediate and may not happen at all. The build chooses by size and urgency, tells you in the dashboard which path it took, and never treats an unfilled intent as a position. Approvals are explicit and scoped. The 1inch API needs a developer key from their portal; the build ships ready for yours.

What the AI research reads

The research layer reads how far the aggregated route actually beats the best single pool, how many hops it takes - more hops means more gas and more surface to fail on - and the gas market against the edge the trade is meant to capture.
