Schwab absorbed thinkorswim, and with it the platform a great many serious options traders had already built their habits around. The charts and the studies stayed. What changed is the door automated software has to come through, which is now Schwab's own developer review.
Nothing is scoped or constructed after you order. The build already exists; you install it, you set it up and you choose your settings.
What the auto trading does on Schwab / thinkorswim
The engine trades your selected symbol on your own account from your own machine, once your application is approved. It uses the brokerage authorisation flow and keeps the session refreshed through the day. Equity and multi-leg option orders carry the durations and quantities you configure, and each is checked against your buying power and existing position before it goes anywhere.
What the AI research reads
The research layer is written for an options-heavy audience. For your symbol it reads the underlying's range and volume behaviour, the expiry clock on the series you are working, and how the move since the open compares with a normal day. It states in your dashboard what it saw and why it did or did not act.
Broker approval required. Schwab reviews individual developer applications before granting production access. We cannot apply for you or promise the outcome. Until then the product runs as research and alerts. Customer brokerage order execution has not been verified end to end by us.
