moomoo does not let software talk to the broker directly. It talks to OpenD, a gateway program you run on your own computer and log into with your own moomoo ID. That is why your credentials never come near us, and it is the likeliest thing to break here.

What the auto trading does on moomoo

The engine connects to your own local OpenD session rather than to any service we operate, and says so loudly when that session drops or the trade unlock expires instead of failing silently. Orders carry the type, duration and quantity you set. Which markets your account reaches, and whether options are available on it, is set by the moomoo entity holding it.

What the AI research reads

The research layer reads your instrument on the schedule of the exchange it actually trades on, because a US listing and a Hong Kong listing do not share a session. Every signal lands in a reason ledger.

The gateway is yours to keep alive. OpenD has to be running and logged in, and DeskBot cannot hold it open across moomoo's own re-authentication. Options permission is granted by the broker on its own review. Customer brokerage authorisation and order execution have not been verified end to end by us.
