What the auto trading does on Alpaca

The engine holds your keys on your machine and works your chosen symbol on your own account. Equity, options and crypto orders carry the type, duration and quantity you set, are checked against buying power, and are tracked to fill or cancellation. Point it at paper and the same logic runs on the same data with nothing at stake. Your options approval level, margin status and pattern day trader standing are set by the broker and the regulator, not by DeskBot.

What the AI research reads

The research layer reads your symbol on market terms: the developing range against the prior range, volume against its own normal, and on options the expiry clock and what it does to time value. Every signal goes into a reason ledger.
