A monitoring app reports observations. Execution software sends trading instructions. A product can include either or both, and a dashboard that looks busy is not evidence that orders were placed or that a strategy made money.
What DeskBot's $10 preview does today
The current Windows and Intel Mac source preview is built around reading and understanding markets, not around placing orders for you. The DeskBot FOMO page states plainly that it works from public market data and places no real exchange orders.
Customer brokerage execution is not a released, verified capability, and nothing in the paid preview should be read as one. If that changes, it will be described on the product page with its own requirements before it is sold.
Read the freshness before you read the status
Suppose a dashboard received an update at 10:00 and the connection dropped at 10:01. At 10:20, showing the 10:00 reading as if it were current would mislead you. What matters is when the software was last seen and when the observation was actually made.
An order is not a fill, and a fill is not a balance
Submitting an order, an exchange acknowledging it and an order actually filling are three different events. Honest software keeps them distinct instead of showing every request as a finished trade.
Profit attributed to one bot is also not your account balance. Deposits, withdrawals, manual trades and other software all move a real account. Missing data is unknown, and showing it as zero would invent a result.
Questions worth asking any trading bot vendor
Which component does each status describe? When was the data last refreshed? Does the dashboard place orders, or only display them? Where are exchange credentials stored, and what permissions does the software request?
A vendor that answers these plainly is easier to evaluate than one that shows a green light and a profit number. Ask the same questions here.
Where to go next
Where a trading bot actually runs covers the computer or server that does the work. What it costs covers the $10 pass and the planned memberships.
